Level 3 Early Childhood Education Theory and Application

Courses offered by AIM Middle East are approved by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai and the Ministry of Social Affairs, UAE.

The IPC’s (ECETA) Level 3, teacher training program is designed to enhance and increase the knowledge, skills and experiences critical to providing children and families with high quality Early Childhood Education. This program takes into account the most recent developments in Early Childhood Education and looks at trends that will shape the future of preschool teaching.

On completion, participants will have a sound understanding of child development, be able to create positive environments, effectively facilitate curriculum, provide developmentally appropriate assessments and establish and maintain meaningful relationships with children and families, for children up to 6 years of age.

IPC’s Level 3 teacher training program, consists
of 8 foundation modules and two professional development workshops.

  1. Child Growth and Development
  2. Environments for Early Learners
  3. Curriculum and Lesson Planning for Early Learner Classrooms
  4. Observation, Documentation and Assessment in Early Childhood
  5. Language and Literacy Development in Early Learners
  6. Ethics and Professionalism in Early Education and Care
  7. Family Engagement in Early Education Settings
  8. Health and Safety
  9. Child Protection (Workshop)
  10. CPR/First Aid (Workshop)

Successful completion will enable participants to:*

1. Work as a teaching assistant or trainee teacher in a nursery or kindergarten with children aged up to 6 years.

2. Work as a lead teacher in a nursery or kindergarten with children aged up to 6 years.

3. Ministry approval for the above is dependent on the participant’s years of ECE experience and educational qualification.

Registration

  1. Submit completed registration form
  2. Pay registration fees of AED 1,500 (non-refundable)
  3. Provide a letter verifying employment
  4. Provide a letter of support from employer/ supervisor
  5. Program fee of AED 10,500, are payable in four installments, of AED2,625 each

1st payment with first session (cash/or cheque)
2nd payment at the end of Month 1 (post-dated cheque)
3rd payment at the end of Month 2 (post-dated cheque) o 4th payment at the end of Month 3 (post-dated cheque)
All post-dated cheques to be submitted at the start of the program.
Discount of AED 500, for payments made in one installment

Additional Information

  • IPC’s Level 3 teacher training program takes between 6-12 months to complete, depending on the participant
  • Each foundation module will require participants to put in approximately 30 hours of time
    (includes self-study, assignments, reflection activity and workshops)
  • Participants will be provided with reading material, links to supplemental learning, reading lists, assignments and assessment sheets
  • Participants will be encouraged to communicate with cohorts via appropriate forums

** Workshop attendance will qualify for the minimum professional development requirement for teachers, as prescribed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, UAE.
